Insurance:

At our Plantation Dental office, we accept many insurance plans and programs. Check your insurance information under “Gentle Family Dentistry” or Dr. Steven Gilson. We accept all other PPO insurance as an out of network provider for those networks that provide out of network services.  The percentage of coverage depends upon the specific insurance plan. We are in-network for the following PPO insurance plans:

  • Aenta
  • Ameritas
  • Assurant
  • Blue Cross & Blue Shield through Dentemax
  • Cigna
  • Compbenefits/Humana
  • Connection Dental
  • Dentemax
  • Delta Dental PPO & Delta Premier
  • Guardian
  • Metlife
  • Principal
  • Standard
  • SIDS of NY
  • Unitedhealthcare
  • United Concordia
  • UFT
  • Humana

For our patients on managed care plans (Compdent, Humana, CIGNA, DELTA Dental, Assurant, MCNA, and United health, Vista) remember you must assign yourself to our facility and your name must appear on the monthly roster before we can accept you as a patient. Contact our office or your carrier to see if your plan requires you to select a doctor.

Different carriers have different fee schedules. An insurance company may have a reduced fee schedule for dental services that may be less than the actual charges, resulting in lower coverage for you. We have no control over this situation.  The level of reimbursement is a direct result of the plan selected by your employer.  No dental insurance company will pay 100% of dental costs.  As a courtesy to our patients, we will process any insurance forms. Once we receive a pre-determination of benefits from the insurance company, we will accept it as partial payment. You will be responsible for the remaining balance. However, a pre-determination of benefits is never a guarantee of payment. In the event the insurance does not pay their expected portion, you the patient is ultimately responsible for the balance due.

Financial Options:

We offer a variety of ways to make your cost of dental treatment affordable:

Monthly financing through Care Credit and Chase Health Advanced plans. Patients must qualify for these plans by application. For case fees over $5,000 we offer financing plans with the first year of interest-free.

Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover cards may be used for your convenience.

We offer a 5% bookkeeping discount for case fees of over two thousand dollars pre-paid before your dental treatment begins.( not paid on a credit card.

On a visit-by-visit basis, the cost of care can be divided by the number of visits, and paid out at the time of each visit.

We understand that each person has individual needs and a unique financial position. We are dedicated to working with you to help you achieve your goal of healthy teeth and gums. Contact us and our friendly staff will be glad to help determine which plan that is right for you!
